Established for 40 years, AstroVac
is an Australian central vacuum manufacturing company and considered
one of the top leaders in providing home cleaning solutions. In many
ways, Richard Waycott is attributed to starting AstroVac. In 1961,
he visited the USA to attend a marketing and design conference and
came across a new appliance which was being introduced in the vacuum
cleaning market then. Known as the ducted vac system', this was a
central vacuum system created only for residential use. Waycott
established AstroVac by bringing in modified power units for
Australian homes from the US. The manufacturing unit was later on
shifted to Australia.
Made in the USA: AstroVac central vacuum systems is being
manufactured by Lindsay Manufacturing, which is based in the
USA. The manufacturing unit is situated in Ponca City, Oklahoma,
USA. Lindsay Manufacturing is a known name in the industry as
they have been creating quality cleaning systems since 1956.
