Unlike a traditional valve, the flange of this new valve is completely separate from the body, and therefore, it can be placed either on the left or right of the valve depending on your installation requirements.
The Hayden universal side-opening valve has introduced a brand new look compared to the traditions vertical-opening valves. This universal valve is non-electric, without the integrated high voltage receptacle. A pig-tail hose with a corded cuff is mandatory in order to run a powered beater brush.
Available in white, the Hayden side-opening valve not only has a new aesthetically pleasing design, but it is also very durable. It has also given the owner the opportunity to accommodate installation on the baseboard, which has become very popular recently to homeowners.
Different installation necessities are adjusted with the Reversible Flange:
Much more adaptable for the user, this new valve has the flange completely separate from the body, making it possible so it can be placed on either left or the right side of the valve, depending on your installation. The installer can decide to install the flange on whichever direction and the electrical box will remain at the top.
Cheaper hose socks found on the market use a lower quality material and are rough, easily torn and don't provide a tight fit around the hose. They generally don't stand up to the average household abuse for more than 6 months. Pay for quality the first time!
NOTE: As a courtesy, when you purchase a hose and hose sock from ThinkVacuums.com we will install it on your hose free of charge. If you order the hose sock separately the helpful video below will guide you through how easy it is to put on.
