Standard/Universal Wall Inlets
This is another very common inlet found in homes today. These
inlets will send a low voltage current to the main unit to
turn the vacuum on automatically. When using this inlet with
an electric carpet nozzle you will have to use a hose with a
6 ft. pigtail cord and
plug into a regular 110
receptacle.
This inlet has a universal 1.5" diameter opening which will
accommodate most hoses.
This inlet is referred to as a "full door" shape. Comes in
either White or Ivory.

Style Wall Inlet ValvesThis inlet
valve is commonly found in homes
with Nutone Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems. These inlets will send a low voltage current to
the main unit to turn the vacuum on automatically. When using

hose used for this inlet will have low voltage signal and
also have 2 prongs on top of the hose, when pushed in at the

Vacuflo Low Voltage Wall Inlet Valves
Vacuflo® low voltage Inlet Valve has a contact switche
which are above the valve opening. The low-voltage connection is made when
the low-voltage pins on the hose are inserted into the
contact switch. This inlet has a unique 1.25" diameter
opening which will accommodate most Vacuflo Central Vacuum
hoses. These Vacuflo valves can also be set to automatically
turn on when the door is opened.

Custom Perma Glo Wall Inlets
Many power
units incorporate a sophisticated electronic package that
allows you to control the power unit from the hose handle.
In addition to this feature, many of these designs allow you
to install a Perma Glo night light as an element of your
systems. The Perma Glo night light can be installed behind
your normal vacuum inlet giving you a permanent light
sensitive night light without using your standard electrical
outlets. The light has a projected life of 100,000 hours and
adjusts to the available light in the room -- insuring the
right amount of light to see your way.

What is a Wall Inlet?

A Central Vacuum wall inlet valve is a door or port that allows
a 1.5" standard diameter hose to fit into a 2" receptacle
for a central vacuum system. Central
Vacuum Mounting Brackets and Extensions may
be needed also, When the Central
Vacuum Hose is pushed into
these outlets, it will then activate the central vacuum unit to
turn on. This will activate a circuit via a metal band
located on the end of a typical central vacuum hose. This in
turn sends a low voltage signal telling the main central
vacuum to turn on. Most Wall Inlets consist of universal inlets, low
voltage inlets, or electric (direct connect) inlets, aka super
valves. Central Vacuum Wall Inlets come in different
sizes, colors, and dimensions to suit the decor of your
home. Most inlet openings measure 1.5"diameter to
accommodate 99% of all hoses. |
