Martin Sévigny, Drainvac's Vice President and Director of Production, stopped by personally to talk about the latest and greatest coming from Drainvac, and to award Thinkvacuums as the Top Dealer of the Year for Sales and Customer Service. We feel honored to receive this prestigious award. Drainvac International was chosen in conjunction with Thinkvacuums, out of every other central vacuum company, by TLC Television Network, to have a whole segment about central vacuums and how they work, how beneficial they are to people who suffer from asthma and allergies, and also will go over their Going Green features that highlight Drainvac's forward-thinking initiative to make their vacuums safer and friendlier to the environment. Keep an eye out on the TLC network for it! It's being produced now and will be aired in the first quarter of next year. Drainvac recently celebrated going into it's 28th year, with a gathering of dealers and the launch of it's newest product lines. More than 200 dealers and guests assembled from all over the world at the Hotel des Seigneurs at St, Hyacinthe, Quebec, for a lovely dinner and reception, and to just be around of one of the largest and best companies in the central vacuum industry. The highlight of the evening was the introduction of Drainvac's three newest series of central vacuums, the Summum, Generation 2, and Pro.

In 1998, Drainvac went from roto molding to injection molding. This allowed to considerable accelerate the assembly of products while increasing the level of quality giving the product a new look. With this new process, Drainvac decided to add color while innovating with a new line of injection molded central vacuum cleaners that will use a new material called the PC / ABS resulting in a brand new exterior design. The shells (hat & tank) are now offered in four painted colors (burgundy red, blue, silver, and charcoal). The paint is Polyurethane based oven dried at 160° resulting a superior quality that resists dents and scratching. This process meets the ROHS standards. Always within the same perspective, Drainvac will continue innovating both in the filtration and electronic control fields. Drainvac has introduced new printed circuits not only of better quality but with reduced energy consumption. A more sophisticated circuit with options that will regulate and counter power fluctuations when starting the unit. This will prolong the life of the motor and all of the electrical and electronic components as well.

Drainvac offers a new range of filtration systems that has an advantage of being of better quality, which provides better motor protection. This filtration system includes a disposable recuperation filter that is biodegradable. With the close collaboration of it's suppliers, Drainvac can offer filters that kill bacteria on contact and prevents electrostatic formation and dust mite reproduction, even eliminating them.
