The Drainvac vacuum system is everything Robert said it would be and more. (At Think Vacuums you can even speak with the owner most anytime!) We bought the Drainvac AC2600-C-9 gallon one year ago and enough time has gone by for me to know that this powerful, quiet, good-looking, easy-to-install, and bargain-priced machine is one that people who are looking for a central vacuum need to know about. The vacuum comes with all sorts of install parts–my husband loved that. When you change the bag, you don't have your face in the dirt like you have with top opening, lift out bags. You don't have a foam filter you have to wash and replace (I did that for 25 years on previous system, what a pain.) And you don't have a drop down bag that floats dirt everywhere when you open the canister.

This system and the bag are designed so that you never see, touch, or breath the dirt (and I have a cat and a bird!) After a year my machine is as clean as when it was new, as powerful, and is remarkably quiet. We can even talk in the garage when its running (could not do that with our old Music and Sound) and many new machines out there are still very loud or, you pay a lot more for their quieter versions. Not so with the Drainvac. And it is the right kind of power, pulling up dirt all around it without being so powerful that it gets out of control.

The owner of ThinkVacuums recommended it to me, now I, having owned one and used it for a year, highly recommend it. And if you are wondering whether you should buy a vacuum system at all, consider this: All you ever work with is a hose, which allows you to add lightweight extensions and get up into vaulted ceilings and curtains without being limited by a bulky- short-hosed upright vacuum or a roll-a-round canister that gets caught on things and chips your corner walls. You can easily change the electric head to dusting and crevice tools for any job. (Nothing could be easier for our cane ceiling fan and for carpeted stairs.)

You will get used to the hose when you start realizing its advantages. The key is to store the hose in a convenient place and get into the good habit of putting it away to avoid anyone tripping on it.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how happy we are with the Drainvac central vacuum system we purchased from Thinkvacuums.com last year. The power this unit has is amazing! We have two large dogs and they are constantly shedding. This unit is easily able to keep up with all the hair. I also love the fact that you don't have to push the whole vacuum around, just the light weight self propelled power head, it's a breeze!

Just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with our Drainvac Elite package central vacuum. Your customer service accommodated us when we ordered a part that we couldn't use and sent us the part we wanted (but wasn't part of the original package). The only downside to the whole project was the lack of clear installation instructions. Fortunately someone was available at your 800 number to help us out when we ran into questions.

It's been a while since we purchased the vacuum (June 2006), but we think of writing this letter every time we plug in the hose and use it!

I purchased a Drainvac Ultimate Package central vacuum system from you several months ago and I wanted to let you know that my wife and I couldn't be happier. Our house was being renovated after a house fire and we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to install a central vacuum system. I found your site on the internet and used the information you provided to make my decision on the brand of system and options we wanted. Delivery came in a few days. The directions were straight forward and easy to understand. Installation was easy and my son and I completed the job over a two day period. We decided to install vacpans in the three bathrooms, one in the kitchen and one in the laundry room. What a convenient and time saving option! The five vacpans and four regular outlets let us cover the whole house. I would recommend this to any do-it-yourselfer. This will definitely make the chore of house cleaning much more enjoyable not to mention that the system has increased the value of our home.

I spent quite a bit of time researching a replacement central vac for our home. I talked to a number of retailers and kept coming back to Think Vacuums. By far the best online information, more FAQ's, comparisons, and you sell the best lines. When we talked on the phone, your knowledge and guidance was tremendous. My DrainVac has been installed now for over a month and is working great. Better than the EasyFlo it replaced, much quieter, and obviously extremely well made. installation was a breeze. After 15 minutes my wife was back to two vacuums a day. Thank you all and especially Scott for your tremendous customer support. Don't know why anyone would ever buy from anywhere else. Robert I wanted to share with you this unbelievable picture. I have a 2300 square foot single story home with 3 and ½ year old Berber carpet. I have been using a $600 Royal upright since we moved into the home and have had the carpet steam cleaned once or twice a year since we moved in. Since I bought the home to live in for a very long time, I thought I would invest in a central vacuum system since I have always heard they do a much better job and last forever. I shopped locally and on the internet and eventually found Think Vacuums.

I was very happy with the communications I got over the phone from you and other employees as I was asking many questions about central vacuums. You and your team not only answered my questions but did a great job helping me select the proper unit for my home. I am a mechanical kind of person so I knew I would be installing it myself, so it was important that I received all the proper installation material and picked a vacuum that would do a good job.

I selected the Drainvac Viper model. After completing the installation and testing the unit, I cleaned the unit because I wanted to see just how much dirt this new machine would remove from a carpet that I thought I was already cleaning properly. Look at this picture. The dirt pile on the right picture is about a ¼ inch thick. This of course does not include the dirt that is still in the Viper filter. I didn't want to remove that since this was the first time.

Remember all I did was vacuum the floor one time, I have not gone back with the other attachments to clean the edges of the carpet up next to the wall. I also love the turbo head and the way it cleans. Also the adjustment on the handle that allows you to reduce the suction is great for doing throw rugs and other loose carpet. I am so very impressed with this machine and am very happy with the service I received from you and your company.

Thank you so much for your patience in the purchase of our new Drainvac. I have been looking for several weeks researching and reading the pro's and con's of each system. Your information regarding cyclonic, airwatts, 5.7 or 7.2 motors, bag or bagless and much more helped me incredibly. In all that information, you saved us from purchasing a Nutone CV450. I know that down the road I would have been extremely disappointed.
