DrainVac Vacuum Bags FAQs
How Often Should I Change my Drainvac Central Vacuum Bag?
It is recommended to change your Drainvac dust bag when it is no more than 1/2 of the way full or there is a loss in suction. Fine dust, dander, and pet hair can clog the bag much faster than regular dirt and dust. When changing the vacuum bag regularly will prolong the life of your Drainvac central vacuum system.
What Does HEPA Mean?
HEPA stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Air. HEPA bags capture 99.97% of dust, dirt, and allergens greater than 0.3 microns. HEPA bags were developed to prevent the spread of airborne allergies and other contaminants. HEPA bags can be beneficial for those who suffer from asthma or allergies because these bags trap fine particles that can trigger allergy and asthma symptoms.
Should I use a HEPA Dust Bag in My Drainvac Central Vacuum?
If you have allergies, asthma, or any other respiratory issue, it is recommended to use HEPA dust bags. Certified HEPA bags capture up to 99.97% of particles while EU-certified HEPA bags capture 99.95% of particles 0.3 microns or larger. When using a Drainvac central vacuum with HEPA bags you will notice clean breathable air as you vacuum.
