Frequently Asked Questions About Sanitaire S677 Parts
What vacuum bags fit the Sanitaire S677?
The Sanitaire S677 uses Type ST disposable vacuum bags, including the Type ST Micro-Lined Bags 161 listed on its original product page. These bags fit inside the outer cloth bag assembly.
What belt does the Sanitaire S677 use?
The Sanitaire 30563B premium round drive belt is listed for the S677. A worn or broken belt may prevent the brush roller from spinning properly and reduce carpet cleaning performance.
Can I repair the motor on my Sanitaire S677?
ThinkVacuums lists a dedicated Sanitaire S677 motor assembly, along with compatible motor fans, pulleys, motor gaskets, and fan chambers. Electrical repairs should be handled by a qualified technician.
Is the Sanitaire S677 discontinued?
Yes. The Sanitaire Pro S677D commercial upright vacuum is discontinued. However, ThinkVacuums continues to list belts, motor assemblies, outer cloth bags, and mechanical service parts to help maintain existing units.
Why is my Sanitaire S677 losing suction?
A full disposable vacuum bag, blocked airflow passage, damaged motor fan, or worn internal component may affect suction performance. Check the dust bag and airflow path first, with the vacuum disconnected from power.
What is the difference between Type ST bags and the S677 outer cloth bag?
Type ST disposable vacuum bags collect dirt and debris during cleaning. The 53977-29 outer cloth bag provides the surrounding housing. These are separate parts of the S677 dust collection system.
