Hide a Hose Review and System Installation Guide

hide a hose central vacuumMy all-time preferred commodity is my hide-A-Hose central vacuum system, of course! I love it. One hose, about 60 ft, covers my entire house.

The Hide a Hose is relatively easy to take out of the wall, and the best part of it is to put itself away automatically. The latest rapid flex hose performs much better than the initial one, flying back into the wall!

Central Retractable Vacuum Hoses

The introduction of a central vacuum system in your home provides benefits and comfort. The central vacuum system is also ideal for households with dogs, children, or health issues.

Vacuuming is less-noisy since the power unit and the living rooms are completely separate, and drained air does not recirculate back into the house. Besides, the available adapters and accessories allow you to customize your device to meet your needs.

The Hide a Hose Retractable Hose

One alternative is to add a retractable hose, which has the advantage of being stored inside the walls of the building. If it's time to clean, take the hose out of the wall, fasten your powerhead and vacuum up! Have you done your task? The hose is automatically retracted back to the wall for quick and efficient storage.

Our customers value the introduction of a retractable hose. They can be quickly mounted in new buildings but also existing structures. In the Think Vacuum shops, we give two versions of the retractable hoses.

Homes with Low Pile Carpeting, Area Rugs, & Hard Floors

hide a hose central vacAll inlet valves are equipped with a hose and concealed within the system's vacuum tube for the Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum System.

When done, cover the end of the hose with your hand, and the suction of the central vacuum unit will automatically retract your hose back into place. The design of this Hide-A-Hose system allows for use with non-electric attachments and hoses.

That means that we endorse this device for homes with hard floor surfaces, area rugs, and low pile carpeting. Since homesteads with plush carpeting demand for electrical powerheads to effectively vacuum their floors, this device is not often advocated for use in these environments.

However, when you are using a pigtail powerhead, be sure to use a Hide-A-Hose on such thick carpets comfortably. We've found that the system fits well with a True-Cyclonic central vacuum system. The Hide-A-Hose system is compatible with 40 Foot or 50-foot hose packs.

Hide a Hose Powerhead For Homes with Carpeting

Homes with carpeting require more efficient, sleek design cleaning equipment, such as an electrical power source. With this in mind, CanaVac's Doc It Automated Hose Control has a retractable hose system equipped for electrical hoses. Close to the Hide-A-Hose, the Doc It is mounted right inside your walls. While it's easier to build this device during the new building, we could install the Doc It right in our current showroom improvements!

The primary feature consumers love the most in Doc is the electrical retractable hose stick. Unlike the Hide-A-Hose that demands you to move the handle from one hose to another, the Doc It stores the handle inside the wall.

The other important feature is an automatic retraction and on-hand controls. All of which is due to the electrical functionality of this device. It provides you with more power to scrub your carpets thoroughly; it also provides real ease of use. Out of sight, out of mind.

  • The hose is stored in the walls and sealed inside the vacuum tube when not in operation.

  • Remove the hose size you need, attach the remotely operated handle and start vacuuming. One 50-foot hose will span 1,800-2,200 square feet.

  • When done, the VACUFLO power machine's suction forces the hose back into the wall and out of reach. Then take your handle towards the next inlet and repeat the cycle.
