Make Vacuuming Easier with the Right SEBO Accessories

When you order your new SEBO vacuum cleaner, make sure you get the right accessories and tools to make cleaning your entire house easier. It takes more than a corner tool and stair tool to do an excellent job with your upright or canister vacuum. While you are at it, order a few additional bags and filters, if needed, to save time and money in the future. Many of us don’t know what attachments, tools, and accessories are available to do a fantastic job of cleaning floors, upholstery, stairs, blinds, walls, and our cars. Here are the available options for a better cleaning job on furniture and upholstery:

6627GS Upholstery nozzle (above) 8142GS Upholstery nozzle (above)

You can thoroughly clean furniture and upholstery with one of the nozzle attachments shown above. How often and how deep you clean them depends on how often you use them, if you have kids and pets, and the number of food crumbs and stains on them. Start by using an upholstery tool for vacuuming the backs, arms, cushions, and under cushion areas. Check the deep pockets by the arms and backs of couches, sofas, and recliners for unwanted items. Use a crevice tool to also go over this area and between cushions if you don’t remove them. If vacuuming doesn't clean it all, get a mild spray or liquid cleaner designed for what’s coating the surface.

Additional Tools for Floors

Floors typically fall into three surface categories: carpets, hard surfaces, and rugs. Use the right tools for carpets that are either deep, medium, or low pile. An alternative to sweeping is to vacuum hard surfaces, including wood, laminate, tile, stone, or concrete; however, you need a different brush or tool to do an adequate job of cleaning these types of floors. Use one of the attachments below specifically for deep cleaning with your canister vacuum.

7200GS Premium Parquet Brush (for all hard floors) Electric Powerhead (for deep cleaning)

You must take special care when vacuuming throw and area rugs by turning off the vacuum’s beater bar. Tip: If you use an attachment, vacuum sideways across the rug in the pile direction. Never use the beater bar/roller brush near fringes or tassels because it will pull them into the vacuum and ruin them. You may also want to use an upholstery attachment and clean in the pile’s direction.

Clean Those Corners

  • Crevice Tool
  • Tapered Crevice Tool
  • Extension Tube

You should clean the corners of rooms about every third vacuuming session (unless you are a perfectionist). Use a combination of a crevice nozzle and a dust brush to get wall and floor corners really clean. Press down hard along the edges and corners of floors to get everything thing out. You may need an extension tube for hard-to-reach places. Be sure to clean the tops of baseboards, around electrical outlets, and all horizontal surfaces.

Dusting Brushes

  • Dusting Brush
  • Triangle Dusting Brush
  • Radiator Brush
  • Turbo Hand Brush
  • Dry Floor Duster

Dusting is essential and should be done first before cleaning the floors and upholstery. Remember that all horizontal surfaces get much more dust and crud than vertical surfaces, with the exception of liquid spills. These attachments have soft bristles to prevent damage to painted walls, furniture, and most artwork.

Don’t Forget the Bags and Filters

If you choose a vacuum model that uses bags, don’t overlook emptying, cleaning, and replacing them as required. Your vacuum dealer and the instruction manual will provide all the details you need to know. Just in case the manual is a general-purpose one, you can find your model number online for additional information.

SEBO vacuum cleaners have a 3-step filtration process that makes them perfect for allergy and asthma sufferers. They feature S-class HEPA filtration with 3-layer dust bags and hospital-grade filters, which eliminate 99.9% of allergens and particles down to 0.3 microns. You can also order odor eliminating filters for select models that add a refreshing touch to vacuuming. Tip: Buy the best bags and filters you can afford because cheap bags may tear or burst when overfilled. Since overfilling is a common mistake, it’s better to be safe than sorry. We suggest emptying bags when they are one-half to two-thirds full to reduce the danger of harming your vacuum cleaner.
