A central vacuum power head is designed for carpeting/rugs and minor bare floor use. Typically, a central vacuum power head is an electric powered carpet attachment. Used for deeper cleaning, an electric carpet attachment has the ability to perform with a higher RPM brush roller speed due to it being driven by an electric motor. Electricity that runs through the central vacuum hose supplies power to a vacuum attachment motor.
