New brush strips are sold in packs of two, one long and one short. To replace, follow the following steps;

• Cut the bottom plate and belt

• Grab the middle of the brush roll and raise it to extract it

• Start by removing the rubber end cap cover from one end

• Unscrew the lock nut

• Remove the end limit

• Insert a new brush strip of the very same length (rounded end first) and slide it into the brush roll slot from either side.

• Replace the second brush strip from the brush roll's opposite side.

• Replace the shaft.

• Match the bearings retainer's indentation with the brush strip on both ends of the brush roll 

• Place the end cap with the middle hole's flat sides over the threaded shaft.

• Tighten the locknut

• Align the holes and secure the flat side of the rubber end cap cover (the sleeve bearing brush roll installation includes a shaft washer).

• Take out the bearing retainer.

• Move the shaft around the opposite end.

• Using pliers, remove the deteriorated brush strip.

• The brush roll can freely move between the two end caps when fully mounted. Examine the belt's state and, if necessary, repair it. Replace the brush roll, belt, and lower plate as required.
