The Vacumaid Metal Wall Inlet is a non-electric inlet. There are two low-voltage contacts inside the inlet that connects to the hose. This allows the central vacuum system to be turned on and off from a switch on the hose handle. The Vacumaid metal inlet will work with most non-electric hoses. The Vacumaid Metal Wall Plate features a full metal door, the hinge on the door keeps the door closed when not in use preventing loss of suction. This wall plate will work with most non-electric hoses. The 2-pin jack style inlet allows you to control the central vacuum system from the switch on the central vacuum hose handle. The Vacumaid Metal Inlets are available in white, almond, stainless steel, and a brushed brass finish.
